How Do I View 3D Live animals?

To use the feature, you’ll need to :

  • google an animal, for example: “Lion” or “Tiger”.

  • Just underneath the image search results and the Wikipedia description of the Lion, you’ll be able to see a little box that says, “Meet a life-sized Lion up close”.
  • Click on “view in 3D” button, then click “view in your space” to see the tiger in your own circumference.

  • You’ll need to give Google access to your camera for it to be able to insert the tiger into your space.

What animals can I find?

Not Just Tiger or Lion! There are loads of different animals you can see through the feature.

It first gained popularity when people realised they could see a huge 3D tiger when they googled the animal – but there’s a huge list of animals the feature works for.

You can find a:
Lion, Tiger, Cheetah, Shark, Hedgehog, Duck, Emperor penguin, Wolf, Angler fish, Goat, Rottweiler, Snakes, Eagle, Brown bear, Alligator, Horse, Shetland pony, Macaw, Pug, Turtle, Cat, Octopus, And Dog.

What does AR enabled mean?

Your device will need to be AR enabled to access this feature.

For Android users: Google requires an operating system of Android 7.0 or later, originally shipped with the Google Play store already installed, and internet access.

For iPhone users: you need to be running iOS 11.0 or later. You’ll likely already be running iOS 11.0 or later, but if you’re not sure, simply head to your settings > general and then tap software update.
